"The way that I communicate with EVERYONE changed after just the first Saturday and the phone session."
"This course was a wonderful support to my husband’s and my efforts to open up in our communication with each other. Dr. Ford’s empathetic yet practical feedback allowed us to be realistic in our expectations and kept the experience of new approaches from becoming overwhelming. I would definitely take another course with Dr. Ford if one were offered!"
"Profoundly appreciated Dr. Ford’s exceptional perceptive skill and nuanced articulation...Can’t wait to sign up for her next course in this program or elsewhere."

Enhanced Dialogue for Couples will be offered through Stanford Continuing Studies, Summer Quarter, July 17-24. Registration begins Monday, May 17, 8:30 am PT.
By strengthening our natural Aperture Awareness - our sense of openness to each other - couples learn to connect and build trust. In the Winter Quarter at Stanford I will be teaching Enhanced Dialogue for Couples.
Sign-ups for the course open on November 30 and enrollment is limited. Please feel free to contact me with questions.
In this course, we will learn from the evidence-based work of John Gottman and others who are researching couples’ dynamics. We will also look at the neurological basis for our responses to each other and the optimal conditions for receptivity, expressiveness, and learning. Participants will be instructed in simple and powerful techniques for staying open in difficult conversations.
